What is live in care?
Live-in care provides constant, round-the-clock care from a dedicated carer who lives with you in your home, offering a helping hand at a moment’s notice.
We understand that being supported by or looking after a loved one with care needs can sometimes be overwhelming. That’s why our live-in care is centred around your individual needs, routines and preferences.
With live-in care from Helping Hands, you and your loved ones can focus on the most important thing of all: spending quality time together.

What’s included in live in care?
Our live-in care service can support you in any way you need it to, including:
Personal care –
With 24-hour care, there will usually be one main live-in carer who lives with you full-time and other carers who may support you overnight or during the day when your regular carer is taking a break or needs assistance with moving and handling duties.
Including bathing, toileting, changing clothes and self-care, all with dignity and discretion.
Companionship –
As a helping hand, a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on; you’ve got a
friend in us.
Household chores –
Including laundry, dusting and running the vacuum around for a fresh and
cosy home.
Going out and about –
We understand your life extends beyond your home, so we’ll support you
there, too.
Dietary needs –
Including planning and preparing nutritious meals to ensure your dietary
needs are being met.
Complex care –
Nurse-supported care for more intricate care needs, such as cathether and
stoma management.
Companionship through live in care –
However, you may have a live-in carer if you have some ailments but don’t need constant care. Many people who have some minor issues, such as being unable to wash themselves or who require the use of a mobility aid, my opt for a live-in carer. Not only does having someone who is fully trained to look after you provide yourself and your loved ones with reassurance, it can give you much-needed companionship, too.
